Toy Fair 2016: Video Tour and Photos of the DC Super Hero Girls Flying High

Nerd News Today has posted two nice videos of the DC Super Hero Girls at the Mattel booth at last week’s New York Toy Fair. The first is a tour by the Mattel representative, who explains the difference between the 12-inch $19.99 USD dolls featuring clothing (soft goods) which we’ve already seen, the articulated 6-inch action figures, and a previously unseen budget line of 12-inch dolls priced at $9.99 USD which feature painted-on modeled costumes which look like super cool battle armor. I really love these, especially Supergirl. Only three of the girls are available in this form at this time.

Katana was noticeably absent from the Toy Fair presentation, but a rep confirmed on Twitter that she will be included in the final line. I already have my heart set on the full set of dolls (both versions). That hair! The outfits! They’re so preeettty! My favourite is Bumblebee (sorry Kara!) because of her beautiful hair and skin and cute costume (those wings!)

There will also be a Super Hero High playset for the action figures, cosplay items (!), and Sky Dancers-inspired launchers for the action figures that I would’ve gone nuts for as a kid.
